Photo Tips
The quality of your cutout is mainly dependant on the quality of your image provided. Digital camera photo’s can be used, but to ensure the highest quality, cameras of 4 million mega-pixels should be used, 3 million mega-pixels will be fine for mini-me cutouts.
We can also use scanned images, however there must be scanned at a minimum of 300dpi. Standard photographs can be 7"x5" or 6"x4" but the larger the better.
There are also a few photography tips and examples below to help you achieve the best lifesize cutout possible.
A selection of example images are shown above. The first 3 contain errors which will reduce the quality of the cutout. See below to find out why they won't be as good as the fourth image.
- In the first image the person is too far away and she is small in the image along with having shadows across her face, which will make the cutout poor.
- The second image is taken looking down at the person. This will make the final cutout look severely distorted.
- The third image simply has his legs cutoff. This is fine if you are ordering a Window Cling Sticker, but this won't work for a Life-size Cardboard Cutout. If possible the entire body should be visible, unless intended not to.
- The fourth image will produce a good quality cutout. She is stood true to the camera with all her body in shot. Its also bright and she is dominant in the image so the quality will be better.
